By Sim Omo from edo central  For those who know Barrister Ken Imasuangbon alias rice man, he is an epitome of simplicity, clarity. A man keen for details, astute in management of men and resources. Rice man is one Edo son who derives pleasure in finding solution to challenges of others. As a personage, he is a kind hearted, a philanthropist and a politician with a mixed grill of compassion, selflessness, humility and integrity with passion for service to humanity.  Aggregating these virtues, it is without sounding immodest to locate Mr Ken Imasuangbon on the pedestal of a trusted Nigerian and Edo indigene for service wether political , humanitarian, etc.  Expectedly, as the 2024 Edo Governorship electioneering  season provides for undercover manoeuvring, intra -state consultations, the period bestows  another opportunity for Edo people, the PDP to support his aspiration  and  succeed Godwin Obaseki, who has also done extremely well in the 8 years he  is serving .  For Obase

Fuel Subsidy Removal: Edo govt empathizes with citizens, cuts down workdays to thrice a week

In the wake of fuel subsidy removal by the Federal Government, fuel prices have increased astronomically leading to rise in prices of goods and services and overall cost of living. The Edo State Government shares the pains of our people and wants to assure everyone that we are standing with them in these very challenging times. We want to reassure our people that we will do all within our powers as a subnational government to reduce the pains and ameliorate the sufferings our people are currently facing in the wake of the current realities. As a proactive government, we have since taken the step to increase the minimum wage paid to workers in Edo State from the approved N30, 000 to N40, 000, the highest in the country today. We want to assure you that we will continue to pay this amount, while we hope to increase it even further, if more allocation accrues to our State from the Federal Government in view of the expected savings occasioned by the removal of the fuel subsidy.
