The Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, in Edo state today inaugurated its Strategic Planning Committee.


The Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, in Edo state today inaugurated its Strategic Planning Committee. 

The inauguration took place Monday 6th September 2021 at the party secretariat in the office of the state Chairman, Dr Tony Aziegbemi who administered the oath.

Members of the committee are;

1.Barrister Anslem Ojezua… Chairman 

2.Chief Osaro Idah…member

3.Hon. Friday Itulah…member

4.Mrs Lindsay Sorae… member

5.Mr Nosa Iseleomon…. Member

6.Chief Hillary Otsu…. Secretary.

Terms of Reference:

1. Recommend ways to evolve into a stronger and more inclusive party.

2. Proffer ways to boost the e-registration exercise as well as the INEC CVR in Edo State.

3. Suggest and advice on political appointments. 

4. Any other ideas/business deemed fit to bring to bear on governance.

Preliminary report to be presented by Thursday 9th September 2021

BAN ON OPEN GRAZING STAYS_ Gov.Obaseki

The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has said the ban on open grazing in the State still remains, warning that anyone found wanting will be made to face the full wrath of the law. Obaseki expands Edo transport system, begins water transportation next month…kicks off construction of water stops in various communities

The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has said his government has commenced the construction of water stops in various riverine communities across the State with the plan to launch the State’s water transportation system next month. Obaseki disclosed this while addressing stakeholders during an interactive engagement on the Edo State Regional Development and Benin City Master Plans, at Ovia-South-West Secretariat in Iguobazuwa. The governor, who noted that the transportation system was a critical aspect of the State’s master plans, said the water transportation system will kick off with three passenger boats in the Riverine Community.
