Woman who wants to lift her people

Barr. Maria Edeko says: "Ubiaja was the first headquarters of Esanland, but it's still like a village."
Speaking to Tenmillionviewers Tv via telephone interview;
the Commissioner for Social Development and Gender Issues, said women were the worst hit by the insecurity challenge in the country as their farms, businesses and children were the targets.
She advocates for policies that would protect the women as they engaged in hazardous jobs in the agricultural industry as well as other sectors.
Mrs Edeko bemoan fate of the male residents of Ubiaja due to the lack of government strategic institutions in the area, citing examples emotionally.
Continuing, the star performer said, it will be good if the community will allow me to bring Ubiaja at par with other esan places like Ekpoma which the siting of the university has turned into a bustling town.
What are your thoughts?
Will Ubiaja see the need to send a representative who can turn things around or will they sacrifice development and remain the way they are?
Close watchers of this woman are of the opinion that if she's from Oredo, she would have been unopposed, given her pedigree of abilities and capacities displayed so far in her professional association and in governance.
You guess is as good as mine
