The Edo Production Centre is a multipurpose, one-stop-shop for small businesses. The centre shares support
infrastructure such as 24 hours electricity, security and low-cost financing to help boost economic growth in the
state. The centre was built and established by Edo State Government in partnership with the Market Development for the Niger Delta (MADE) I programme, Benson Idahosa University (BIU) and the Des Moines Area Community College in lowa, the United States of America.

The 24-hour electricity supply at the Centre is provided by the Ossiomo Power Plant following a power purchase
agreement with Edo State Government.

BAN ON OPEN GRAZING STAYS_ Gov.Obaseki

The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has said the ban on open grazing in the State still remains, warning that anyone found wanting will be made to face the full wrath of the law. The governor said this while addressing stakeholders during an interactive session on the Edo State Regional Development and Benin City Master Plan, held at Iguobazuwa, Ovia South-West Local Government Area of the State. Obaseki expands Edo transport system, begins water transportation next month…kicks off construction of water stops in various communities

The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has said his government has commenced the construction of water stops in various riverine communities across the State with the plan to launch the State’s water transportation system next month. Obaseki disclosed this while addressing stakeholders during an interactive engagement on the Edo State Regional Development and Benin City Master Plans, at Ovia-South-West Secretariat in Iguobazuwa. The governor, who noted that the transportation system was a critical aspect of the State’s master plans, said the water transportation system will kick off with three passenger boats in the Riverine Community.
