Edo Production Centre     November 1, 2023   The Edo Production Centre is a multipurpose, one-stop-shop for small businesses. The centre shares support infrastructure such as 24 hours electricity, security and low-cost financing to help boost economic growth in the state. The centre was built and established by Edo State Government in partnership with the Market Development for the Niger Delta (MADE) I programme, Benson Idahosa University (BIU) and the Des Moines Area Community College in lowa, the United States of America. The 24-hour electricity supply at the Centre is provided by the Ossiomo Power Plant following a power purchase agreement with Edo State Government.

The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has disclosed plans by his administration for the extension of the service years of teachers in the State.  To achieve this, the governor has forwarded the Harmonised Retirement Age Bill for the extension of retirement age for teachers in the State to the Edo House of Assembly (EDHA). Obaseki revealed this when he addressed teachers at the 2023 Teachers’ Day ceremony held at the Conference Hall of Teachers House in Siluko Road, Benin City. By  Wawa Reporters  - October 13, 2023         No fewer than 11 vehicles were burnt to ashes last night when a petroleum tanker fully loaded with Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), otherwise known as petrol exploded in the Ijora area of Lagos state. It was gathered that no life was lost in the unfortunate incident, as drivers and other ran to safety before the explosion. General Manager, Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Mrs Adeseye Margaret, confirmed to SlyeNews that, “the raging fire has been curtailed”. According to her: Properties involved are: 11 vehicles which include: 2 tankers, 1 tipper truck, 3 trailers, 3 cars and 2 micro-mini busses (korope). “No life and no injuries recorded as occupants escaped unhurt, ” She stated.
